Intro to Ground Weapons

Believe it or not, there's also ground combat in Warhawk! We've got our common assault rifle and grenades, but what about some other weapons?

Here's a rocket launcher. You can lock-on to enemy planes with this. Two shots from this weapon means one dead plane. It's very effective against ground troops and it can kill them in one shot if you time it right, but this takes some practice.

The flamethrower is probably THE weapon to use in one on one ground troop battles. Get good with it and your opponent is dead unless he gets lucky of course.

My favorite ground weapon is the binoculars, or airstrike. Using this weapon will fire a harmless green laser to the ground which calls in the airstrike. It can take out anything ranging from ground troops to unsuspecting planes. Once you get good with this weapon you'll be hooked on it like crack.

A few Warhawk Weapons

We've gone over the introduction to the game itself. Now, I'd like to get into some of the weapons you can expect to use in the air.

This is a Swarm Missile. Every fresh plane comes with 5 of these. They do little damage and they're easy to evade, but they travel very fast and can catch someone off guard and they'll have half their health left before you know it. They're also very effective against ground troops.

Here's a Homing Missile. These are very deadly and can take out roughly 80% of an aircraft's health, and there's nothing the enemy can do about it if they're close enough. They can also kill ground troops in one hit too.

This is everyone's favorite weapon - the TOW missile. It's a remote-controlled missile that can take out droves of ground troops, turrets, and tanks just to name a few. If you're good with it you can even take out planes.

Introduction to Warhawk

In my opinion, Warhawk is one of the greatest games ever created. There is nothing like it.

Warhawk is a shooter for the Playstation 3. However, this isn't your average run of the mill shooter. It is played in a third person perspective and there is both ground and air combat. It is easy to learn, but very hard to master.

What sets Warhawk apart from the rest is its addition of four-player online splitscreen. Up to four players can play together in the same room against anyone in the world. Very, very few games have this feature. Those of you who have competitive friends/siblings will have a field day with this game for sure. Whether or not you choose to form an unstoppable force as a team or go all out against each other, there is limitless amounts of fun to be had. Even if you decide to go as a lone wolf, you will find the same amount of fun.

Words cannot describe the game no further: check out some images and video footage below. Also check out the official website at http://www.warhawk.com/
